A New Beginning

So I thought I'd totally restart my blog. The first attempts were pretty depressing now that I look back on it. So I've decided to change my attitude completely and use this as my "gotta get healthy and fit" blog!

Today is the first day of the rest of my life, or so they say. Perhaps it's just the first day that I'm really going to try hard and work my butt off as my pants yesterday were so ridiculously tight that I couldn't wait to rip them off (I made it almost to the hallway when I started undoing the buttons and zipper!)

I started this morning by threatening to go running, but decided that because of the snow and having not run through snow yet that I should wait and do it either with someone or not at 6 am! Plus I had three little orange gremlins come in to wish me a happy morning! I did manage to do 26 knees up and fingertips to knees (whatever they're called!) until I had to remove Sam's fingernails from my forehead (I have big marks). Who knew that my bangs were going to move that much that he'd go for them! Of course, doing these exercises with a 15 pound cat on my chest was not an easy feat! I think I should get extra points for that.

Had a bowl of oatmeal with the regular ground flax seed, and brown sugar. Feeling good. Freakin cold this morning! Of all the mornings to run out of pants and to have to wear a skirt. But now that I'm at work it's nice and warm here and I perhaps won't be as miserably hot as I was yesterday!

I've planned lunch already - I have a bowl of cereal and soy milk, some fruit, then more fruit - an apple and an orange. This should keep me alive til supper I think! Oh and some Smarties but just a small pack because I don't think I'd make it through the day without some chocolate.

I've got tons of typing tonight (as usual) and must go home for supper even though my Mum's plane is delayed by one day. Tonight I plan to do some situps and perhaps even through in the floor exercise DVD from pole dancing. That's a heck of an abs workout!

Yay for almost the end of the week! and only 36 more sleeps til the boy gets home.

Oh! and I'm finally feeling somewhat like my old fun self! I think the iron supplements are working, along with the regular physical exercise. I'd forgotten how much it helps the mood!
